Government are letting environmental criminals off the hook - Doughty12.00.00am GMT Mon 7th Feb 2005
Commenting on the Environmental Audit Committee's Report on 'Corporate Environmental Crime', Liberal Democrat committee member, Sue Doughty MP, said: "Polluters continue to get away with damaging our environment, knowing full well that they are unlikely to be prosecuted or forced to take responsibility for their actions. "We get a speech every now and then from the Prime Minister about how important the environment is, yet environmental criminals are still being let off the hook every day.
