Commenting on the Environmental Audit Committee's Report on 'Corporate Environmental Crime', Liberal Democrat committee member, Sue Doughty MP, said:

"Polluters continue to get away with damaging our environment, knowing full well that they are unlikely to be prosecuted or forced to take responsibility for their actions.

"We get a speech every now and then from the Prime Minister about how important the environment is, yet environmental criminals are still being let off the hook every day.

"We are all victims when crimes affect the environment."
